Most honest man.

Lal Bahadur Shastri, a name that teaches us about honesty. A man who asked us to take responsibility. A fighter who fought for the freedom of India. An icon of India.

He was born on 2 Oct 1904, exactly 35years after Gandhi Ji and he followed his principles too.

He was short(5ft) but he had great insight.
He taught us that the name traces our caste and caste leads to discrimination.

He knew that India has bigger problems to worry about.

Shastri means a scholar and he had a degree from Kashi Vidyapeeth in ethics and philosophy.

He was a scholar and have proved his efficiency in every situation.

He was a man with power who never abused his power.

When his son used the government car for his purposes. He analyzed the fair and paid it from his pocket.
Why?
Who was looking for him?
Who was there to question him?
Who would have said that he was wrong?

He knew that he was wrong.
He questioned himself.
His ethics were always looking over him.
In 1964, he took the responsibility to run the government and it was the time when we need him the most
In 1965, when we were fighting with Pakistan. He kept the Gandhi inside him aside. He did what was necessary at that time by giving full freedom to the military and they did their best.

He was the reason behind the proper implementation of the green revolution and the white revolution.

He was the one who gave the slogan of JAI JAWAN JAI KISAN. because he knew that the farmer and the soldier are the two significant pillars of our country.
When the nation didn't have enough food. He asked the whole nation to skip a meal, everyone took him seriously.

We had that sense of unity at that time.
Why are we not united like that today?

He is no more but I want his ideas to living forever inside you and me.

You can watch Tashkent files movie to know more about him.
