Who are school dropouts? School dropouts are those children, who leave their studies in between due to any reason either economic or social. In India Article -21 in the constitution provide free and compulsory education for all children in the age group of 6-14yrs. But still, there are a lot of children who don't get a basic education. And this adversely affects their life. Everyone in the world should be educated. One can discover his/her capabilities only when he is educated. Education is the biggest weapon to bring a change in society. School dropout in India statistics. + In 2010 India's dropout rate has fallen from 12.1 percent in 1990 to 7.4% in 2010. + Servey says that the dropout has diminished to 0.11% in 2019-20 , as compared to 0.22% in 2016-17 . Corruption is the amount we pay for democracy?

According to the Corruption Perception Index (CPI), India's ranking is 86th among the 179 countries.  In India, only 1.6% of citizens pay income tax. And from these data, we can imagine the corruption level in India. India cannot develop with these statistics. A study conducted by Transparency International in 2005 resulted that, more than 62% of Indian citizens had at least once, paid a bribe to a public official, to get a job done. The biggest contributor to corruption is the social programs and schemes enacted by the Indian government like NREGA, MNREGA & NRHM.  There are a lot of Indian citizens who have millions of rupees in their Swiss bank accounts but they are not accountable to anyone, why? Some very famous scams : 1. 2010 commonwealth games scam 2. Adarsh housing society scam 3. Coal mining scam 4. Cash for vote scam. The causes of corruption in India include excessive regulation, complicated taxes, and licensing system's lack of transparent laws and

CBSE BOARD EXAMS CANCELLED 2021

Due to the continuously increasing covid cases in India, the government has decided to cancel the 10th and postponed the 12th exams. Now the question arises Is the decision of cancelling the board exams is reasonable?? Education Ministry has said that the evaluation of marks of 10th class students will be based on objective criteria (internal assessment).  Also, the government has given an option to those students who are not satisfied with their assessments, they can give the exams. Then a suitable time will be selected for them.  Secondly, on the postponing of the 12th exams, the govt doesn't seem much clear because they have said that they will re-evaluate the situation on 1 June. But here also students are expecting that their exams will also be canceled like 10 class.  The reason behind postponing the 12th exams is very reasonable that the value of 10th class marks is not that huge.  Students got admission in the colleges based on the 12 marks.  12th ex

My First Experience Of Caste Discrimination.

Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar one of the greatest leaders of India shares his first experience of caste based discrimination which took place in 1901 when he was just 9 years old. He had gone with his brother and cousins to meet his father in Koregaon which is now in Maharashtra. source- pinterest Long did we wait but no one turned up.  An hour elapsed and the station master came to enquire.  He asked us for our tickets. We showed them to him.  He asked us why we tarried. We told that we were bound for Koregaon and that we were waiting for father for his servant to come, but that neither had turned up and that we did not know how to reach Koregaon. We were well dressed children. From our dress or talk no one could make out that we were children of the untouchables.  Indeed the station master was quite sure we were Brahmin children and was extremely touched at the plight in which he found us.  As is usual among the Hindus the station master asked the us who we were. Without a moment&

Father of White Revolution.

When the British left india, the situation of the Indian economy was not so good.  As india was partitioned, and an uneven division was noticed among industries and production areas.   India imported several basic food items such as wheat, rice, and milk powder.  Till the 1960's India used to be a large importer of milk powder.  But by 1970 India emerged as the largest producer of milk and also the lowest cost producer of milk.  The credit for it goes to the inspired leadership of Verghese Kurien also known as the 'Milkman of India'.  Verghese Kurien Work out a plan of cooperative Dairy farmers could own and manage their Enterprises however small they might be.  The White Revolution began as a simple experiment in Anand, a small town in Gujarat. Naxalite Movement in India.

Recently, 22 Indian soldiers are killed by the Naxalite in Chhattisgarh and 31 are hospitalized.  I am sure following questions are also coming in your mind, so let's find answers to these. Why did naxalite movement start in India? What are naxalites fighting for? Who was Charu Majumdar?   Naxalbari is a place in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal. There a peasant uprising took place in 1967 under the leadership of a group of young communists who belonged to CPI (M).  The Naxalite movement represented revolutionary aspirations of the communist party of India (Marxist). They emphasized the need of an armed struggle, placing the peasantry in the forefront of the movement. The communist in the naxalbari region forcibly occupied lands belonging to the richer zamindars. The movement was lauded by China ,which saw it an opportunity to create a base from where they could launch on revolution in India. There was an alarming increase in the intensity of the move

will India be the next superpower (Economy)?

India a sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic and republic nation. Which is counted in the list of developing countries. In this blog we will analyse that when will India become a next superpower. We will also analyse the major dimension and factors such as economy, military, diplomacy etc to know about the present postion of India in the world. Let's begin.  1. Economy  The development of any country can be easily analysed by its economic power.  India is the world's sixth-largest economy by nominal GDP and the third-largest by purchasing power parity (PPP).  From independence in 1947 until 1991, successive governments promoted protectionist economic policies with extensive state intervention and economic regulation, in the form of the License Raj.
