Naxalite Movement in India.

Recently, 22 Indian soldiers are killed by the Naxalite in Chhattisgarh and 31 are hospitalized.

I am sure following questions are also coming in your mind, so let's find answers to these.

Why did naxalite movement start in India?
What are naxalites fighting for?
Who was Charu Majumdar?

Naxalbari is a place in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal. There a peasant uprising took place in 1967 under the leadership of a group of young communists who belonged to CPI (M).
The Naxalite movement represented revolutionary aspirations of the communist party of India (Marxist). They emphasized the need of an armed struggle, placing the peasantry in the forefront of the movement. The communist in the naxalbari region forcibly occupied lands belonging to the richer zamindars.

The movement was lauded by China ,which saw it an opportunity to create a base from where they could launch on revolution in India.

There was an alarming increase in the intensity of the movement the naxalite led by Charu Majumdar called for an "armed struggle" and an encirclement on the cities of the model of Chinese revolution. They even coined an absolutely Anti National slogan "chairman Mao is our chairman".
In 1969 Charu Majumdar, Kanu sanyal and others broke away from CPI(M) and formed a separate party called communist party of India (Marxist-leninist).

This party declared that democracy in India and field and the goal of socialism could be achieved only through armed struggle.

They justify the use of violence for seizing land from landlords and distributing them among poor peasants.

Charu Majumdar and his followers labelled their movement as a "popular protest against injustice and exploitation".

In fact the aimed at the strong India's democratic structure and establishing communist dictatorship through violence and guerilla activities.

Charu Majumdar died in 1972 but the movement is alive till now.

Poor peasants and landless labourers drew inspiration from Charu Majumdar and they formed armed groups such as People's War Group (PWG), Maoist communist centre (MCC) and CPI-ML (liberation).

Hence, naxalite movement is a threat to internal security.
Measures to deal with Naxalite movement

1. The centre in the state government should also speed up the social economic development in region affected by the naxal violence.
2. In order to gain confidence of local people land needs to be distributed among four seasons and funds be made available to poor artisans.
3. Development programs with focus on employment generation need to be implemented.

Give the solution that comes in your mind.

Salute to all the martyrs who lost their life. 🇮🇳
Salute to their family.🇮🇳

Jai hind.

India's literacy rate is 74.4% according to the 2011 census, which contains 82.14% for males and 65.46% for females. Any Indian citizen who is 18yrs old and above has the right to vote and contest the election.13 Dec 1989 was the date when the starting age was reduced to18yrs from 21yrs. There is a constitutional body in India that handles the whole election procedure from the election of Prime Minister to Sarpanch. When India became independent thousands of questions arose in the minds of constitution-makers. One major question among all these was- Should illiterate people have the right to vote? Arguments in favor  1. By not providing them the right to vote, we are violating their right to equality. 2. An illiterate voter can distinguish between genuine promises and false promises.  3. Som

Until now 15 people have lost their lives and 100+ are missing and very heavy destruction have happened to two hydropower plants. This is not the first time, this has reminded us of the disaster of 2013 and it's not the last event. In the coming time, this kind of disaster will be more frequent due to climate change.
