Rihanna tweet on farmers protest

Introduction:

One tweet has shaken the government of India, forced the external affairs ministry to take a stand. One tweet has provided headlines to every news channel. One tweet has wakened our sleeping celebrities. I am talking about the tweet done by Rihanna (singer).
Who is Rihanna?

Rihanna is a world-famous singer, has over 100 million followers on Twitter. When she tweeted on the farmer's protest, thousand of people retweeted, some in against and some in favor. Many international personalities such as Greta Thunberg, MP's of Canada, and the UK tweeted for farmers. National personalities like Sachin Tendulkar, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgan, etc also tweeted after Rihanna's tweet.
Are these celebrities aware of farm bills?

They are neither against nor favor the farm bills but just speaking about human rights and the right to protest.

Now the question has changed?

Now the question is not about if you support farm bills or not? Now, the real question arises of basic human rights, democracy. Do the govt. have any right to treat farmers so brutally by cutting their food, water facilities, ban on internet services, depriving them of the right to peaceful protest. Now we can see some similarities between Indian democracy and North Korea and China's dictatorship.

Increasing conspiracy-

- Some people argued that Rihanna was paid for this tweet.

- Clear-cut answer to this is just go and check her net worth.

- Kangana Ranaut tweeted that protesters are not farmers instead they are terrorists.
- Indian government sends legal notice to Twitter to ban certain handles such as Kisan Ekta Morcha. But not Kangana's.

- Government disturbed the food and water supply on the borders of New Delhi.

- India's media try to exaggerate the situation by presenting farmers anti-national, Khalistani, Pakistan sponsored.

- India is the biggest democracy in the world and if india doesn't respect human rights and democracy by calling protesters terrorists then it directly affects the credibility of democracy in the whole world.
- Statement of the external affairs ministry's parliament of India has passed these bills after full debate and discussion. And we are trying to solve the issue with farmers'. But the situation doesn't seem good.

Your turn

  4. From my personal view I think everybody has a viewpoint regarding the issues related to other countries so we can express it..its just that rihanna is a famous celebrity so her comment kind of created a ruckus within india...also if she wanna speak about our country's issue then she should also speak against the atrocities happening in USA.

  5. Both spreading rumours like news of Rihanna taking money for her tweet as well as the foul language used by Kangana Ranaut are wrong. But, external interference is also intolerable. Also, it will not be wrong to say that Rihanna and other international celebrities don't know anything about this issue at the ground level. We should not let these tweets jeopardize our harmony and unity.

  6. I think it's completely ok that people from outside are giving there views. As this might will awake the sleeping government and help them to understand there duty to resolve the problems occuring in the country.

  7. No one except our country can understand the problems as well as how to cure it . External interference shouldn't be there Moreover what some of them are doing is intolerable... Talking bout the rights people who don't respect our flag who are caught misbehaving with women causing discomfort amongst women who are living in the nearby areas.... So the thing about rights would've looked better if this was an actually peaceful protest which they did in starting

voting rights to illiterate-logical or not??

India's literacy rate is 74.4% according to the 2011 census, which contains 82.14% for males and 65.46% for females. Any Indian citizen who is 18yrs old and above has the right to vote and contest the election.13 Dec 1989 was the date when the starting age was reduced to18yrs from 21yrs. There is a constitutional body in India that handles the whole election procedure from the election of Prime Minister to Sarpanch. When India became independent thousands of questions arose in the minds of constitution-makers. One major question among all these was- Should illiterate people have the right to vote? We know that voting is a very big responsibility in a democracy. After a lot of debates and arguments, the decision was taken and voting right was also given to illiterate citizens. Arguments in favor  1. By not providing them the right to vote, we are violating their right to equality. 2. An illiterate voter can distinguish between genuine promises and false promises.  3. Som
